Choosing Your Wedding Dress

August 11th, 2008 by teddybearreceivingblankets9504

If you grew up like I did with a romantic vision Wholesalelouisvuitton1828 what my wedding Designerclotheswebsites8882 be like, then no matter how many questions there are to ask yourself, you’re sure of one thing, it needs to be perfect. Nowadays not everyone appears as concerned about finding Sunbeamelectricblanket3773 perfect dress, but Discountchristiandiorhandbags1604 most of us Casinopoker398 deep inside - it really does matter.
As soon as you begin planning or the big day, choosing your wedding dress becomes an urgent need for most brides. Nobody wants to wait. While dealing with wedding stress and preparations, be sure to allow yourself plenty of time to try on different styles and find the one who says “you”.
The theme of your wedding will be an important point when selecting that special Newborntakemehomeclothes9206 Are you getting married on the beach? If so, you might choose a light airy style. Have you decided on a formal affair? Then by all means, go all out and wear a white dress covered in silk and lace. Whatever type of occasion your wedding will be, your dress will play one of the most important roles in it!
It’s also important to think about the month and season you are getting married in. If you are having a middle of summer wedding, then you probably shouldn’t wear a wedding dress with double layers or long sleeves. After all, this is supposed to be the most memorable day of your beginning together. You don’t want the biggest memory to be how much you sweated through the whole ceremony!
When choosing a wedding dress, try on comfortable styles. Walk around in them, if kneeling is part of your ceremony, then kneel in the dress. You need to certain that you will be comfortable in your choice. The beauty of the dress is only half of your decision - the other half is looking beautiful, happy and elegant. And you won’t look - or be - happy if you are holding your breath so seams do not pop or you’re itchy from the lace on your arms.
One mistake that a lot of brides tend to make when choosing a wedding dress is with the size. If you are planning on losing weight before your big day, do not buy a dress the size you think you may be come the wedding day. Instead buy the size you are on the day you choose the dress. It will always be easier to take a dress in if it is too big. Fakedesignershoes1015 an awful job trying to add material for a dress that ended up being too small.
With the expense of weddings, some couples try and cut back by making their own flowers, having a family member bake the wedding cake or hiring a friend to take wedding photos. Although it is okay to cut back and still have your dream wedding, don’t skimp when choosing your wedding dress. If you cannot afford to hit a wedding boutique and pay their prices, try wedding consignment shops, who offer ‘like new’ dresses at an affordable price. Remember too that there are many discount wedding dress shops.
Whatever style, color or price range you eventually decide on when choosing your wedding dress, don’t forget that it’s you your fiancé fell in love with, not your dress. The dress adds to the ambiance of the day, but it isn’t the real centerpiece.
After you have chosen your wedding dress hang it in the bag it comes in and don’t show it to everybody. Give guests something to look forward to when they see you for the first time walking down the aisle. And unless it is truly unavoidable, don’t let your future husband see your dress at all before the wedding. They say it’s bad luck and even if that’s just a superstition, it certainly does spoil his surprise!

Merchant Accounts for Skateboard Shops

August 1st, 2008 by teddybearreceivingblankets9504

Skateboarding is not Wholesaleclothes353 afterthought. For the last few years boarding has lost its skates in the public eye. Skateboarding is not a dead art; in fact it’s more popular than ever. Skaters have new things to do as well. Since Kgmenswear3251 Cavernkidsinliverpool9206 needed something to do when the waves weren’t breaking or the weather was bad turned to “concrete surfing”, the basics of balance, skill Infantjerseys8733 committing to a risk in a moment have been and hopefully will be the ethos that boarding enthusiasts will continue to live by.

Today, as many skaters surf, so many snowboard and wake board as well. Its natural progression and the future will bring out crazier and more extremes of board sports for the new breed of athletes who are looking for more than a stick and ball experience. When I was growing up, if you didn’t want to be on the team, whether it was softball, soccer or whatever sport kids and young adults were taking part in at the time, you turned to an individualistic sport. As options were limited, tennis, track and skiing made up the short list. In a nation that has bread teamwork and forced social skill sets, the paradigm has changed and changed in a way that has created different values, goals and interactions for our kids while they grow up.

Skateboarding and alternative sports may in fact be a metaphor for the new generation of a progressive society. Participation in individual sports is not for everyone; as there is no set practice to be late for, you really need to get out there and practice and be involved. From there, advancing your skills is mainly up to you and for that reason, the learning curve is what you make of it. Skateboarders and other one-participant sports love that aspect of these activities which leaves them in charge of their own future. Studies have shown that kids growing up without team related activities, who take part in sports like skateboarding, surfing and motocross were more likely to lead and less likely to succumb to peer pressures.

Like all sports, Fashiondesignersclothes8370 is essential and to think that a skateboard is a piece of wood with some wheels on it is just going to piss off skateboarders. If you’re a skateboarder, you know what I mean. As with all industries, skateboard manufacturers spend lots of time and money researching and developing new ways to make boards, Clothingoutletsinpa3615 and wheels more durable, lighter and less expensive, in an attempt to increase their performance and help riders further the sport. Skateboard shops are not such fringe retailers anymore.

Today the sale of boards and accessories still Casualmenswear6866 up a good portion of their revenues; however, many are expanding their product lines to include other extreme sports that are loosely linked to the skate scene. It’s not uncommon to see snowboards, bmx bikes and wakeboard equipment next to decks and trucks when you walk into your local shop anymore. Merchants see the trends and are preparing themselves for the next new rage. Remember, you used to buy your skateboards in a surf shop.

Skateboarding is not going anywhere; however skateboarding is a sensation activity and skaters will look outside skating for a new rush. Consequently, skaters who haven’t picked it up as quickly or get sick of skating will try the next like sport quickly, and repeat until they find one that works for their lifestyle and natural ability. Shop owners need to be ready for everything. Their shops operate mainly on a walk-in basis; however, many operate websites to serve customers worldwide.

A merchant account is a necessary evil, or is it. The terms that banks offer merchants is often an unreasonable proposition that they deal with but don’t have to. Merchant service providers can help small shop owners like skate shops and the like to better their situation. Getting good discount rates on credit card processing is available if you look for it. A good place to start is online. Look up a merchant service provider if you’re interested.

When One Wedding Dress Is Not Enough!

July 29th, 2008 by teddybearreceivingblankets9504

A growing trend these days is for brides to select not one, but two wedding dresses. Is this a wee bit excessive? Perhaps. The mark of a spoiled princess? Well, maybe. (But, hey, all you princesses out there know that you are spoiled, and love it!) Is Designerclothingdiscountprices9226 a totally Replicadesignerclothing5433 way to indulge your every whim on Newyorkdepartmentstore8683 most fabulous day of your life? Absolutely!

Most brides don’t Sexyclothes4148 out to pick two wedding dresses. What usually happens is that after trying on countless gowns, the bride comes to realize that she cannot pick one. The reason is that she will fall in love with a gown that is perfect for the ceremony, but she cannot imagine wearing it all night. Then she will try on a dress that would be incredible for dancing at the reception, but she just doesn’t imagine wearing it down the aisle. The solution: get both!

Many couples today do not want a traditional stuffy or sedate reception. They want their reception to feel like the party of the year, especially after the meal when everyone hits the dance floor. Some couples even set aside an area of their reception venue to turn into a cool disco lounge, complete with mirrored balls on the ceiling. This is when the gown that seemed right for the church just won’t do for the reception. Brides having destination weddings can encounter the same situation. If a young woman has always envisioned being wed in a full ballgown, she may not be able to let go of that vision of the ideal wedding gown. However, she would likely tire very quickly of wearing a big heavy gown on the beach, so she will also need a shorter, breezier dress for the reception.

When a bride does decide to wear a different gown for the reception, usually is it a much lighter weight dress than the gown for the ceremony, but it should still be white or ivory to make sure that the bride stands out from the guests. The second dress should Mapofitaly5714 some sizzle to it - you can choose a more daring style than you wore for the service. A slinky beaded sheath would be incredible on a sophisticated bride. Another option would be to choose one of the tea or knee length bridal gowns that designers now offer. Something in a sassy 1950s full-skirted party dress shape would be divine.

Part of the fun of having two wedding gowns is the wow factor when your guests see your quick change act, so be sure that you have planned for all the accessories to compliment gown number two. You may opt not to wear a veil, but don’t forget about shoes, jewelry, and appropriate undergarments. A great idea for your jewelry would be to have a pair of custom bridal Swarovski necklaces created. They could be made with a similar look, but with a more elaborate version for the ceremony and a simpler necklace for the reception. Or, your custom bridal Swarovski necklaces could be made with the addition of pearls for a more traditional style to wear with the first gown, and a dazzling all-crystal effect for the second gown.

The fun doesn’t have to end with the second bridal gown, by the way. It has long been Designerbargains2731 for the bride and groom to change into going away outfits before exiting the reception, which means, yes, a third dress! Your going away dress should be pretty, but less fancy than the wedding gowns. Since you are Designerclothesoutletsinuk8922 going to do it once, your wedding day is the perfect time to indulge all of your fashion fantasies. Now, go shop!

Trends for 2008

July 22nd, 2008 by teddybearreceivingblankets9504

Fashion trends are at the forefont everywhere you look so it’s only natural that you want to follow them. Find the latest trends displayed on the catwalks and the high street to add to your own style.

The first trend for 2008 that deserves a mention is ruffle garments, whether it’s a shirt or a dress. Ruffles were seen on the catwalk in silk, sheer layers and pale pastel colours. Since this look is ultra feminine, it’s suggested that if you want to toughen up the look to add strong accessories.

The next trend for 2008 to consider is the tribal trend. Animal prints, Aztec dress and ethnic jewellery are the top runners for this trend. This trend is easy to overdo so keep it simple. It’s best to wear a plain top with print accessories or print top/dress with plain bangles.

There’s always an era’s style resurfacing and the trend for 2008 is seventies style. Floaty maxi dresses, waistcoats over vintage blouses. Stonewashed jeans were all over the catwalks at Chanel and Christopher Kane, you can’t go wrong with jeans.

Another emerging trend for 2008 is floral print. This will not be to everyone’s taste especially since the upcoming prints are set to be bigger and bolder than ever. If you go with this trend remember less is most definately more - you don’t want to resemble a flower show.

Most people will be glad to hear that block colour continues as a trend for 2008. Orange and cobalt blue are making headlines but the must-have colour this Spring and Summer is fuchsia pink. Hollywoods finest stars caught onto the trend as soon as it was showcased. The problem with the fuchsia pink colour is that it can easily look tacky if worn with too much make up and overly done hair. As there is so much going on with the colour everything else needs to be kept simple to let the colour stand out.

If the thought of bold pink is too much for you, you can translate the trend into more subtle pink highlights. For example add a fuchsia pink accessory such as a belt to a black dress or a handbag to brighten up an outfit. By adding an accessory in fuchsia pink you are keeping up with the trend but not too full on.

Another continuing trend is the blazer, long gone are the days when you reluctantly wore it to school. This style of jacket can pull together any outfit; it sharpens the feminine look of the ruffles trend, works well over the seventies comeback style and helps break up the block colour trend.

The final trend for 2008 is the high-waisted trouser. Who can’t adore a garment that makes our legs look longer and is surprisingly flattering across the middle.

Now you have the main trends for 2008, you can start planning your new wardrobe today.

Look and Feel Great in Plus Size Clothing

July 21st, 2008 by teddybearreceivingblankets9504

The majority of women are a size 14 or above, so its about time that retailers recognize the need for attractive plus size clothing. Due to consumer demand, there is a greater array of plus size clothing than every before including plus size lingerie, business suits, swimsuits, and formal wear.

The reality is that what looks good on a size 4 is not necessarily going to look good in a size 16. So, simply replicating a style in plus size clothing may not work for fuller figures. When it comes to plus size clothing, there is cut, style, fabric and color to consider. For example, let’s take formal wear, which can be difficult to shop for in the best of circumstances. A certain type of neckline may look great with a smaller bust line, but may not be able to provide the support necessary in plus size clothing. Also, certain fabrics may bunch unattractively in larger sizes. Plus size clothing presents a whole additional set of concerns. For women shopping for plus size clothing, it can be difficult to find apparel that both looks and feels good.

Many larger women make the mistake of choosing plus size clothing that is much looser than it needs to be. Many plus size women assume that a looser fit will hide trouble spots, when in reality, a form fitting ensemble can be so much more flattering. Today’s plus size clothing is meant to skim and accentuate curves without clinging to bulges. As notions of beauty and attractiveness have begun to change, plus size clothing in attractive styles and colors has become more widely available.

Knowing colors and shapes that accentuate your body type is an important part of building a working wardrobe of plus size clothing. Another common misconception is that plus size women should shy away from plus size clothing with bold patterns and bright colors. While darker colors do tend to provide a slimming effect, a monochromatic ensemble in a brighter tone can do just the same. Or, you can add a dash of color with a colorful top or by adding a colorful accessory to an otherwise dark outfit. In terms of patterns for plus size clothing, plus size women should shy away from larger prints in favor of smaller designs. Bolder prints tend to draw the eye directly to trouble spots, which is the exact opposite of the effect that you want to create with plus size clothing.

Clean and classic lines with a minimum of frippery and unnecessary details seem to work best with plus size clothing. Flounces, bows and loud prints only accentuate what you want to skim over. For skirts, an A line just above or below the knee is always a safe bet for a fuller figure. For blouses, square or round necklines tend to make the shoulders appear wider. Instead, opt for a V neckline in plus size clothing, which draws the eye downward and makes the body appear slimmer. For plus size clothing, clean and simple designs are the most classic and the most flattering to a curvier shape.

There is also a wide variety of plus size swimwear and intimate apparel available for curvier shapes. Whereas finding a bra or bathing suit used to be near impossible, there is now a variety of fashionable options offering support. Plus size clothing designers are stepping up to the plate and offering more choices than ever before.

Women of all shapes and sizes are being encouraged to feel confident about their bodies. Looking and feeling great in comfortable plus size clothing can help to bolster that positive body image.

Wide Belts - Spring’s Hottest Fashion

July 21st, 2008 by teddybearreceivingblankets9504

The word is out-wide belts are the hottest fashion accessory for spring-the perfect compliment for the gorgeous dresses slated for spring and summer. Belts look great with many different styles of dresses hitting stores, from free-flowing sundresses to shirt dresses to tunics. Really wide belts (3 inches or wider) are a hot ticket item, as are leather sashes, leather or cloth wraps and stretchy cinch belts. Get one in grey, black, brown, red, white, metallic, and pretty much any vibrant color.

Wide belts add the right feminine touch to shirt dresses, and a more tailored, modern look to shift and tunic dresses-a flirty girl-next-door flair to full skirted dresses for evening.

How to wear wide belts

The key to wearing wide belts is to wear them high, as in right under the breast bone. These belts are meant to accentuate the upper body and cinch the waist, unlike the “old” kind that went through your belt loops to either a) hold up your pants and/or b) accentuate your fanny. If you’re curvier, a wide belt is extremely flattering if worn correctly. A wider belt worn high can melt off pounds-no trips to the gym required.

Now that I’ve touted the benefits of wide belts, it’s time to talk about wide belt no-no’s. A belt seems like it’s a simple enough concept for most to figure out. But we’ve all seen the Don’t section in Glamour. Don’t be a don’t: avoid cheap looking belt made of synthetic material, or one that’s too big. If it gaps in the back, it’s not the right belt for you. Likewise, if you feel like you’re about to pass out because the belt is too tight, chances are you’re suffering for beauty. Get the hint, and find a belt that fits. Don’t wear a wide belt too low, the look is less than flattering. And lastly, don’t over-accessorize. The belt is the centerpiece of your outfit. Think twice about loud jewelry and overly embellished shoes.

What do you think about the wide belt trend? Think they’ll make it a couple more seasons? Personally I love this trend. I was too young to really take advantage of it the first time around, and now being petite, I just love the slimming effect of wide belts.

Hunting With Family Builds Memories

July 18th, 2008 by teddybearreceivingblankets9504

As I was going through some old boxes I found in the corner of the basement, I found a stack of old photos. There were pictures of my father as a kid holding a bow and arrow in one hand, and a medal in the other. He beamed at the camera. His face was alive with his smile and it was clear to see that he was filled with pride. He was no more than 12 years old. In the background I could make out a line of pines and some tents. I smiled back at him and wondered about the little boy in the picture and what the medal had been for.

Months later, as I sat with my mother enjoying a cup of coffee and conversation about the old days, I recalled the image of my dad in the photo I had found in the basement. I asked her about it and she immediately smiled as she remembered the story he had told her over 30 years ago. He had been on a deer hunt with his scout troop somewhere in California. The troop had been camping and hunting for a week in the forest high in the mountains. At the end of the week, scouts who had been successful at following the trail of an animal, or had done another remarkable job, were awarded with a medal. Seems dad had been awarded a medal for his cleverness. With his bow and arrow he had managed to collect enough trout from the river to feed the entire troop when the week’s supplies had been lost to the bears.

As my mother re-told the story, I noticed that my sons had entered the room and had quietly sat down at the table to listen to her tale. When the story ended, they begged and pleaded that someone take them to fish and hunt in the woods. I promised to check with their dad later than day. By week’s end, my sons and husband were all set and packed for their weekend adventure.

The night before they were to head for the mountains, I packed containers of fruit which I had vacuum sealed with my vacuum food sealer. The fruit was sure to stay fresh for a couple of days, along with the chips and sandwiches I had also sealed tight using the sealer. I made sure they would all stay dry and warm by using larger sized bags to hold their clothes and sealing those with a heavy use sealer. Packing them this way, and removing all the air from the bags also made them much more compact and easy to transport. Matches, of course, were also packed using the same method.

My husband and sons returned from their weekend adventure with wonderful and happy tales of chasing animals, which they never actually saw, only heard, and stories of the creepy sounds at night as they sat by the campfire. They came back dirty and smelling of campfire smoke, but their faces were aglow as had been the face of my father in the photo from so many years ego.
